Act 170 Information
Rooted in our history of five towns with one shared heartbeat, Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District is participating in a state-required Act 170 study alongside Champlain Valley and Harwood school districts to evaluate potential merging options. The study examines impacts on programs, finances, and facilities, but any proposal to form a new district would ultimately require voter approval in each participating community. MMUUSD remains committed to evaluating every option transparently, sharing regular updates along the way, and keeping the final decision in the hands of our voters.
